MONTREAL - Defender Nelson Rivas, who was ejected from the only game he played in 2013, has signed a new contract with the Montreal Impact, the Major League Soccer club announced Friday. The 30-year-old Colombian missed the entire regular season after knee surgery and then was shown the red card for charging an opponent in the 69th minute of Montreals 3-0 loss to Houston in the knock-out round of the playoffs.
