As a member of Ajax in 2010, Suarez bit the shoulder of PSVs Otman Bakkal and received a two-game suspension from his club and an additional five-game ban from the Royal Dutch Football Association. In April of 2013, Suarez received a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. In between to the two biting bans, Suarez received an eight-match ban after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in October of 2011.
